Shoplisted: Pink Tartan Flagship Store

Christmas has come early for Pink Tartan fans.  The new Pink Tartan boutique opened this past Saturday at Seventy Seven Yorkville.  Designer Kimberley Newport-Mimran has embraced all of her favourite things and curated a shop filled with plenty of chic items, and some chic - yet fun - things that might surprise a few people… 

 

...like the skull and hoof candles, or stationary delicately embossed with the phrase “Spank You Very Much,” all by D.L. & Co.  

Even the art on the walls – pieces that have outgrown the Mimran’s own home – is wildly interesting; such as the gorgeous photograph of the godmother of punk rock, Patti Smith, dressed in men’s shirt and suspenders.

Clothes hangers sport the boutique’s street address instead of Pink Tartan – clever, yet subtle – allowing Mimran to showcase complimentary brands and labels, like Acne Jeans, alongside her own.  

But of course, the store’s main raison d’etre is to sell Pink Tartan.  With this real estate Mimran will easily expand her line to include accessories – already you'll find PT sunglasses and totes.  The flagship store is a true lifestyle shop.  There is more than just clothing here, it's a way of life.  It's the Pink Tartan life, get it?
